I like it except for the burners

I like everything about the stove except for the different sizes of the burners. The one I cook on most often has the largest burner and even at the lowest setting it's way too hot for a slow simmer. I find that I have to move my pot to a smaller burner and then fuss with the setting to get the right amount of heat. This is way too fussy!

No manual 4 ref, Fingerprints, Manual Oven Shutoff

The Amana range was delivered on 6/18/25. I was disappointed that there was no manual that came with it to guide us on how to use the range and to answer any questions. There was just a page that only indicated where things are. I also don't know how to get the stainless steel clean. I have fingerprints on the lower drawer from the first day when I looked at it. I used dish soap and water - nothing happened. Any thoughts on how to clean the stainless steel? The oven seems to cook perfectly. The only problem is when we set the timer to cook, the oven doesn't shut off when the cooking is done. We have to shut it off manually. Why? The burners work well. I haven't used the self-cleaning feature yet. I found that this model is almost exactly the same as my son's GE gas range.

I responded to your request for a review a week or two ago but I neglected to mention one other thing. My other ranges have all had a removable oven door but this one is stationary. That makes it really difficult to clean the oven. So far I'm happy with the operation of the burners and oven.

I love my new stove! The only complaint I have is I feel the large burners in front should be in the back. You can't really get the flame low enough so it won't burn whatever you are cooking. They should be in the back with the smaller burners up front or maybe one large burner on the left up front.

It's an OK stove, but noisy

I bought this a month ago and I had to order it because none were available on the show room floor, had to be special order --- that was because I wanted one that had "enamel" grates instead of cast iron (in other words, shiny grates like the stove top, not ugly cast iron !) I was told this stove had "enamel" by the sales person). NOPE, it came with dull cast iron grates. The special order took 2 weeks -- my old stove did not work -- it was delivered very close to Christmas -- Iwas told I could return stove but really couldn't --- I needed a stove for Christmas !! So, I'm stuck with it !! I don't like that ALL the igniters on the burners ALL CLICK at the same time until the ONE BURNER I am trying to light actually ignites. I also do not like that all the burners have a LOW setting, but the low is really HOT -- you can barely walk away for just a few minutes and the stuff is sticking to the bottom of the pan. Low is not as low as my old stove. The bottom storage drawer is very thin and does not roll as easy as my old stove and it's flimsy and cheap! This was not a cheap stove ! The oven is constantly igniting while in use and is very loud at doing so. My old stove was very quiet. I have never bought site unseen before, but that was the only way to get my shiny enamel burners that I thought I was getting. The place of purchase said they "thought" they were the enamel because the description from the manufacturer said cast iron with enamel finish. I called the manufacturer and they don't make any of their 5 different name products with enamel anymore. If you get anything from this review -- take away my advice "DO NOT BUY, "SITE UNSEEN", learned my expensive lesson !

The dissatisfaction with our Amana gas range is no rubber feet on the grates causing the porcelain enamel to chip off. The advice given to us was "Sit the grates on the cooktop gently" and "Whirlpool does not have any rubber pads to keep them from moving because of the heat". This was disappointing advice!. We have since looked at other stoves that do have rubber pads on their grates and we addressed this issue because as "gently" as we are, it does not seem to make a difference. As customers, where is true customer service in helping us solve this problem?

In Nov I bought your gas stove and over the stove microwave. I had a Whirlpool for 33 years and it was time. The stove and oven were still fine but the clock, timer, and self clean didn't work anymore. When shopping for a new stove I was EXTREMELY disappointed that the grates were much heavier cast iron!!! AND the front and back grates were now connected! That's about 10lbs to lift when you only have 1 grate to clean under!!!!!! I commend you for having a stove with 4 Separate grates!!!!!! Most people cooking are women! MANY people have arthritis, or disabilities, or other issues limiting their wt. lifting!!! Shame on those designers!!!! Please pass on the negativities to your designers! There is another safety issue. It's regarding the burner control that must be pushed in and then turned to light the burner. My Whirlpool had the same safety control. But with this Amana there has a been a fire hazard. I am only 4'11' tall and weigh 125#. When I reach up to put something in the microwave (which is not a struggle) the burner control sometimes gets pushed in AND turned enough to turn on the big flame !!! Very SCARY!!! So far my clothes have NOT fire!! Can you tighten the controls up a little so this does NOT happen?? This NEVER happened with my Whirlpool and I would like to have that same confidence with this Amana! If my clothes would catch fire I guess I would have to notify the BBB and department of Energy. Or maybe the fire department would be doing that. Thanks for this opportunity to notify you of these issues!

Thermostat problem?

Only concern with this product is the thermostat. There is a 25 degree discrepancy between the oven control panel and a new thermometer placed in the oven (i.e. oven panel indicates oven temperature is 350 degrees and thermometer in the oven reads 325 degrees.

I bought from a local dealer, not big box so the problem others had with burner responsiveness was not an issue because he adjusted from the get go..My local dealer provides excellent service and care of installation and while price some higher than big box includes a lot in price that big box would do as an add on, plus I got my range much earlier and they stand behind what they sell. This was one of the few on market today with 4 separate burner grates, so they fit into my dishwasher or sink easily.. I still miss my old pilot gas stove, didn't want electronic ignition any digital controls.but they hardly produce them any more. My biggest con with this range is that unlike any range I've had the top of range gets hot to touch when the oven is on and I'm not crazy about the different sizes burners, still getting used to using it. . The stainless/ black worked best with my other appliances. I haven't tried the broiler yet.

I searched for several months to find the exact gas stove that I had been wanting. I had almost given up and was going to settle on one that had a full rack all the way across the top. I went to one last store (Tucson Appliances) and THIS one was EXACTLY what I had been looking for AND was on sale! It has the drawer on the bottom (not the broiler) and the empty space in between the burners so that I can set anything I need to in the middle and not have to put it on a burner. So very thankful Amana still makes this stove and that they cater to a variety of customers.

We already had a older Amana Stove that we were very happy with, it got fried during a electrical power surge caused by a bad wire in the transmitter. Had a repairman out and he said he probably wouldn™€™t be able to find part. We were told it was better to just buy another stove, since he couldn™€™t repair it We were so happy with our current Amana stove, we decided to stick with the Amana brand. We had heard that people were having problems with new appliances breaking down within 2 yrs, because of the quality. Best to stick with Amana, and so far we have been very pleased with our stove. We would recommend it.
